I bought Date Warp because it is made by Hanako games, whom I really like as a dev, In the story, MC and her blind date are driving home when the car breaks down in the forest in pouring rain. They find an old mansion and seek help. Entering a creepy old mansion in a thunderstorm? What could possibly go wrong?

The game is much older than crown, and the art isn’t as awful as the reviews say (seriously, I expected stick figures after those reviews). However, after all the beauty the world of otome has to offer, yes, I can see why they’d be disappointed. It’s an old game. Choices can be made by solving little mini puzzles, and they can be skipped if solved once. I thought that whole process would annoy me, but instead found it rather quaint. The story was interesting and surprising, if not a bit scientifically stretched for convenience. I was able to forgive that because the true ending made me very happy. Fair warning, watch out for the scientist guy with the crazy eyes, he was definitely a fun ride (hmhmhm did I make a dirty joke?). On a side note, I had a lot of appreciation for the MC being of Indian descent. It was something new in the world of Otome.
