As the new owner of a quaint little boutique, MC has her hands full designing and making clothes. This tailoring and design aspect is a playable feature, and the money made by filling customer requests is used to then pay for chapters in the chosen guy route. I don’t hate the tailoring and design, but it gets tedious after a bit to have to do so much just to keep reading. The characters are interesting but the plot often seems juvenile. The choices don’t matter much, one is more feisty, the other is more sweet, and the ending creates a minor split. From what I can tell, the feisty ending shows more MC self agency, while the sweet ending involves a more heroic “save the damsel” input by the guy. So the endings are slightly different in that way. Matching an ending matches MC’s attitude - I can appreciate this element. Although sometimes the feisty choices felt unnecessarily rude.

Otherwise, even though the characters and conflicts were different, the interactions, endings and romantic development were pretty much the same. Even writing wise, there is a lot of repetition. Except for the reuse of characters/avatars but with different circumstances. That was clever. Sometimes actions feel out of order. For example, he lifts her chin, then several conversation points later, he releases her chin. Has he really been standing there holding her chin in place this entire time? That is incredibly awkward in my head. I have a lot of little pet peeves with the art and CGs, too. However, the newest story (Caine) improved some of these elements significantly, so I’m interested to see if the next stories make even more steps in the right direction. Besides, after getting through it all, I can see the appeal - what can I say - I’m a sucker for intense emotional scenes and this game has them by the bucketful.
