The writing in this vn felt awkward and silly, but I found the plot interesting at first. MC is drawn into the demon world and somehow becomes the very center of its current power struggle. This is the same people as “Let’s not stay friends,” but felt more like Crossroad (weirdly), as it has quite a few ways to die (even those had similarities), some of which right in the beginning. The death chibi cgs even looked the same, I wonder if there was crossover among the devs, even though the company is different. But I’m too lazy to read the credits. Either way, I still couldn’t shake the Game of Thrones feel, mainly because they kept referencing the “north” which always watches and never forgets…and it was all about ice versus fire…but I am digressing.

Overall, I went back and forth between feeling interested, disgusted and frustrated with the story. I’m surprised the reviews were as good as they were, because in terms of story quality, the game was predictable, the characters’ and romance development rushed, and the resolutions felt cheap, especially in the Krudelta storyline. Also, what was with the one creepy jester who exists for unexplained reasons? In LNSF, I complimented the banter. This time, the writing/translation wasn’t bad, but it didn’t impress me. Some of the endings were a bit rough. I can see they were going for some deep, dark story…but I don’t feel they actually succeeded. For me, I stuck with it because I liked Nettain as a character. I’ve only ever seen one character like him, and I enjoy the type immensely. Also, I really wanted to understand the creepy jester thing (efforts that I exerted in vain, as I found out).
