Personal Favorites: Orlock and Nicola

To be frank, I found Piofiore to be a very slow and boring game. In the beginning, the Italian setting was like fresh air since pretty much all of the Otome games take place in Japan. But as I got farther in, I came to realize how that really didn’t help to make the game interesting.

For one the main character, Lilliana, is extremely boring. She has nothing for her except a stereotypical woman with a mysterious mark on her chest. That’s it. She was raised by the church but the fact that everyone is so pious really makes me question their actions. Yes, I understand the mafia is a major part of the game, but Lilliana, I would think in the least, would question it more. Also, I won’t spoil the exact thing they say, but basically, the plot of the game puts the entirety of the Christianity faith into question. I recommend avoiding this game if you’re very religious and if you think that it would bother you.

This review isn’t completely on the negative side, I can say I did like how the characters and their routes were all very unique. Orlock is my favorite because he’s adorable and I hated Yang, because he was always happy to murder Lilli with just one wrong answer for even simple questions.
