Personal Favorites: Anja and Mimi, but the king is also charming

Mizari is an accomplished healer who fights alongside her friends to put an end to the endless raids of the Demon Kingdom. However, she suddenly finds herself captured by these evil creatures that have been terrorizing her world for years. While in exile, she begins to understand that not everything that she’s been told is the truth, and has to change her entire world view.

This game is unfinished. Only Anja’s story can currently be completed. I got stuck initially, but then finally was able to complete it at a later time. I think the game is incredibly charming and exists in a world that is very well thought out. I also feel there is a bit of well placed social commentary. The thing I was a little disappointed about is the ending. It felt a bit rushed for Anja, and lacks conclusion of the issues surrounding them. I suppose it might be because resolution can only be found alongside the King, but even in that case, I found the very end rather unsatisfying. Also, I would have preferred CGs at better locations, at least for Anja. It's hard to comment on the rest until I finally get my greedy fingers on them.

The slow progress on development is due to the Developer working on their own, with their games not generating enough revenue to hire personnel (according to their message board). I am however still invested enough to see it through to the end and find out further resolutions as well as the endings for the characters that remain. Especially Mimi, as he presents a character archetype I’ve seen several times in games like Bad Apple Wars and Fire Emblem: Awakening (male who wears a dress for unexplained reasons), and I was intrigued. The art is nice, the story was quite interesting and the boys rather charming. I enjoyed it - I’ll hold off on final rating until it is complete.
