The art style it’s a lot darker and less colorful, somewhat monochrome color scheme than most of the stories I read. However, I think that even if that isn’t something that would appeal, it has a unique beauty that endears itself to the reader. In terms of the story,I’m sure I don’t need to rehash the plot of Cinderella to anyone. My first thought is that this adaptation was a clever new take on it, thoughtfully written and executed, while taking into account many of the different variations on Cinderella that I’ve seen over the years. Romance is there, but this book focuses much more on how Cinderella traverses her situation, the romance is more of a pleasant current that weaves into the path.

My favorite part of this game was how the endings were constructed. They had five or six different ways* they could play out. For example, does the reader choose to run away from life with guy A, or marry guy A after taking her late father’s mansion back, while being best friends with her stepsisters? Perhaps instead, the reader will choose to run away from life with guy B? Even the bad ending has a multitude of variables that adapt based on the choices made throughout. It made the replay all the more exciting, because there were so many side elements to change and explore along the way.
