Aloners

MC wakes up one day, in the bed of a stranger in a dilapidated shack. After some confusion, she figures out this man, named Trash (no, I’m not kidding) is the last man on Earth after the apocalypse - and now, MC is the last woman. A premise, I admit, was not initially inviting to me. But, I have seen some otome bloggers rate this fairly highly and I do tend to read everything I come across, in search of diamonds in the rough. I finally caved and downloaded it.

It did not disappoint. The art was simple, but well done (except Trash smiles like he’s going to eat her, and not in a good way). The background art reminded me of Paths Taken, something that seemed like obscured real life photography. The story was definitely keeping me interested and this is coming from someone who doesn’t usually voluntarily seek out post apocalyptic stories of any kind. I enjoyed the romance, as well, it was lovely. Strange word to use in the circumstance, but it’s the word that fits, personally. It’s not a long story, but it was worth my time. I’m glad I caved.
